There a '88 Bronco for sale near me but it has transmission issues. I believe it's a AOD (I know it's an auto). The owner says it's leaking and believes it needs major work. Is it an AOD or E4OD? How could I tell? What other vehicles would have the same tranny?
Also, what transfer case would it have? If the auto is toast, would it be much work to swap in a T-5 (or other manual) and keep the same TC? Anything else I should look for on one of these? The guy wants $550 for it as is. It has rust but he says it's mechanically sound other than the transmission.

I used to have a '66 Mustang with a 200 in it, and someday I want a '79-'82 Mustang or Capri with an inline. I guess I'm weird.
