big midwest run goin b4 winter?!?

it would be cool to get a big midwest run goin b4 winter hits (here in michigan today it almost felt like it was here....) but anyways it would be awesome if we could get a big mounds run or maybe badlands or there are plenty of trails and whatnot in mid michigan...

I don't think there are really enough built Explorers in the Mid-west who participate in runs to make a run to the Badlands worth it(you really need at leat 31s and a 2" or 3" lift to run the trails), but the runs to the sanddunes usually turn out good.

you can run the badlands stock if yoiu don't mind draging over a few of the hills, the Xterra guys all did it. Not to mention there is plenty of stuff in the quarry, and the dunes there. And they can run the creek.

My first trip was with tt/shackles and 31s and it was a blast.

Haspin also has a load of stuff a stocker can do. And I want to try redbird, looks like it has some mild stuff. But that is just my input.

Besides that Tat2dExploder is built up plenty for the badlands, and dman is as close as I am to them for an easy trip.

THis could work out well. I was trying to get some people together to run mid october to Haspin, Attica, or Dugger..... so if that time works out for you guys let me know.

we could also always pull the fordtruckworld card and get a whole bunch more poeple if this seems like its going to fizzle out. in minnesota its pretty just me and them so i'm used to hanging out with that group, and i know last year a few of them came out to Hooters when we went in detroit, i'd bet we'd get some takers on a trip to almost anywhere.

Badlands is fine with me, or anything with in a 3 -5 hr drive. I just don't see lot of guys in the Mid- West who actually run trails and are willing to take a little damage to their Explorers. I tried to get a stocker/slight modified run going at 600 Acres in Iowa (perfect place for that)and only one guy showed any interest. I guess I'm just not too optimistic about Explorer runs in the Mid-West, after all of the failed attempts.
I know Dre is itching to go on a run and taxxman2k and Lifted95X are willing to run, but I don't know any others really. Maybe tenikiwan(sp) too. Speaking of, the Pipeline is nice too, not many rocks and lots of fire roads for the stockers and tenikiwan(sp) knows some trails there.

I'd be up for heading up your way. scratches do happen on the trails at attica but can be avoided.

Whatever you guys want to do. I will take a look at my schedule and let you guys know what weekends are open for me, if I come more than a couple-3 hours away I plan to camp or sleep in somebody's bed.

But I want somewhere with something more than just the fireroads. I don't mind that but I get board real fast playing in the mud. I can do without rocks if I have to. Never been that way and itching to try it out sometime!

i don't think we'll be making the trip to detroit this thanksgiving (although me and nikki are back together! which is great btw) but we may be coming over sooner in november. It would be really nice to see everyone and i would really enjoy getting to go offroad for a change, i haven't been for about 4 years.

and only once or twice in the x- btw, i'll try to find some pics of expo5.0 with 30" tires, a waag brushguard covered in mud on an off camber section of a trail by my parents house. i'll have to scan them, but they do exist. boggles the mind eh?

i probably should have made a thread about nikki and I since its a pretty big deal i guess, and many of you know about it.

damn i like this response well anywas i really didn't wwant to go much more than about 5 hrs i was preferring mounds, but if you guys decide somewhere else i will highly consider it.... as for scratches, believe me i could careless, you should see all my custom pinstripes i already have lol... and as for damage, i need some kind of trophy to go home with lol
with my 5" of lift and 32" mtr's i think i should be alright on most trails.... hopefully we can get at leaast 3 weeks notice on a set date so most people will be ok gettin off work, including myself...
so just keep me posted on a date

expo5.0, thats great! I know you were really bummed there for a while... and I was heart broken that we would never see any more pictures of her with the X! er, I mean more pictures of the X.

I guess we should set a place and a date, so we can all see if it fits in our skeduales... I'm up to just about any place. No hard trails for me probably, cause the Duelers are not as good as the Grabbers were. The X don't get beat like it used to either.

this does mean i'll be doing a proper photo shoot with her and the truck once it gets painted and the front and rear bumpers are finished. for now i have this one- you can't see her and the truck is beyond dirty but its all good



btw- i'm gonna be coming to michigan sometime this fall almost certainly, if it isn't for this event it would be nice to set-up a smaller event at that same time too
