billet grill

Hey guys,
I just bought a billet grill and thought from many other pictures that it would be in the front but after taking the grill off it seems like it only replaces the black mesh behind the stock grill. Did other people cut the original center part of the grill out to put in the billet? because mine seems to be molded as one piece. thanks

Hey, i have a 95 XLT... i replaced my with a billet grill too. I bought brand new grill and extenders and got them painted matching color to make it look more like the sports and put an all black billet grill in ... i had to use a dremel tool, and some sand paper to cut out the center piece and then took it to a body shop to get it painted .... Hope that helps.
