BL or Spring spacers and Shackles?

Yeah, each Ex is different from each other, as far as the leaf springs go, all depends on milage, what you were doing to rack up the miles, off road etc.
I would plan on also doing the addaleaf, the factory springs always sag, even with low milage, just the years of sitting does it. Good Luck!

i did the procomp AAL (summitracing.com) combined withthe warrior shackles..in the rear to be just a bit higher in the rear if not level with the front in which i lifted with a 2in polyurethane spacer (not the coil seatyou've seemed to settle on) ater compressing and the natural sag on the coils, the front sits slightly lower than the rear..the AAL will sag slightly, plus the sag of the springs (125k on the sploder) but the warrior shackle will be a genuine lift..though i believe its 1.5 in not 2.. the spacers i got fro my 86 ranger on ebay from mako mfg. the coil seats i think are only 1 3/4 in of lift up front..this would be close to level but the front will probably be noticeably lower ..atleast to you

As far as I know I am planning on the polyurethane spacers and not the coil seat. But then again I don't know the difference so please feel free to explain the difference and what your personal advice would be. I would like to have it even so I plan on a 2" spacer on the front with AAL and shackles in the back. I have found two of the three so please check them out and tell me if its the right stuff and then also where can I find the AAL, because I can only find new whole spring packages.

Coil Spacers:

WAR153 Shackles: (according to ExporeRanger probably closer to 1.5"-2" lift)

AAL:
??????

Thanks again for all your help.

Well the coil seats should run you about half the price of what the coil spacers cost.

The shackles look good.

The add a leaf kit you can get from summitracing.com, jcwhitney.com, and about a million other places

Well what is the difference between the coil seats and the spacers? Is there any difference in ride quality or just the general quality of the product? What is your suggestion?

I also found the aal's. I think that this one should work fine but it says that it lifts it 1.5-2.5" all by itself. Should I still get the shackles? Another question is that it says the u-bolts and leaf pack clamps are not included. Will my old ones still fit or does this mean I need to buy extra parts? Now for the big question. How do I install an AAL and how easily can I do it? Please let me know what the easiest way is or if there is a forum on how to install AAL's. Thanks.

Is this good for the AAL's?

I dont know where they got those measurements from, but when I put mine in it only lifted it about 1/2- 3/4 inch, I measured. Thats on top of the shackles I already had installed.
I have lift coils, so I cant say for sure that the spacers will be the same problem. I would wait and just get the spacers and shackles and see what that does, then get the aal if needed.
AAL is not hard, unless your truck is rusted all to hell, then breaking the bolts loose can be a pain. You just take the bottom shock bolt out, remove the ubolts, the shackle/leaf eye bolts, take the leaf out from under the car, clamp the leaf together, cut the bolt holding them all together, release tension in the pack by slowly letting off the clamps, greas and install the new leaf, clamp it back up and use new centering bolt (included) to tighten it all up, then just reverse leaf uninstall. Do one side at a time.

So I should be able to use the old U-bolts and the Leaf Pack Clamps? Thanks to all who have helped! I feel much more prepared to take on this project. Darrman: You said to maybe wait on the AAL's. What, if you had to guess, will be the lift with those specific 2" spacers and the shackles? More or less than 1". Because the trouble seems almost worthless if I do that and only get .5-.75" worth of raise total. How much did you get total?

You should be able to reuse the ubolts, unless you break one taking em off. Mine came off easy, but its a Texas truck so little rust. You dont have to mess with the pack clamps, what I meant was take two c-clamps and clamp around the centering bolt.
This is why I am not sure what the spacer and shackle combo will do, I have coils, which are original stock height plus 1 1/2 -2 inch, Your spacers will be installed under stock springs that will probably have some degree of sag in them already, so its hard to tell exactly how high it will actually be.
You will probably gain 1 to 1 1/2 inch in the front, and a 1 1/2 in the rear, but depending on sag, the front may be lower, or vice versa. Its hard to say until you actually get them installed.
You may get lucky tho and it will level out with just the spacers and shackles. You may want to consider waiting and saving up to buy the Skyjacker coils like mine, they are easy to install. I bought the coils, shackles, aal, 4 skyjacker Nitro shocks, and a Skyjacker stabilizer, with camber shims/alignment for about $550, but you can get the coils, shackles, aal and alignment for about $300

Thanks a lot Darrman. I think I just might consider getting the coils even if I have to wait a little longer. Do you have any pics of your mods. And how much lift did you get total? Why the camber shims and stabilizer?

The stabilizer was completly unnessasary and I would honestly advise against buying one, as soon as the cylinder wears out on mine, I am taking the whole thing back out. I just bought it to counter the bump steer I get on I-35, they are doing construction and will be for a few more years.
The camber shims are part of the alignment, they are nesassary to bring the wheels back in, yours will be tipped outward to some degree, because the axle pivot point, and you adding the spacer. No biggie, just let the alignment shop know thats what you will need, they should have the correct ones instock.
I will post you a pic here later on, I am STILL on stock tires, sucks, the tire gods do not want me to have my 31's for some reason, things keep coming up right as I am ready to buy them:(

Here is the pic I promised, I had to reformat my PC the last couple days, so it took awhile. This is the best angle I could find in my old pics, I need to take some new ones, a lot more work has been done since these.

you should repait that little stip of red on the side of your car t match the springs
