Hey, well after 3 days it is done (pics Below)

Day 1- Alot of staring at the radiator and the fan, and making brackets in our heads.... But by day 2 these designs were useless as we had to change it

Day 2- Got up early, took the truck over to my Bros house, and created the brackets, these brackets are unlike the ones Flex-A-Lite includes in there Kit. My fan was bought for a s-10 Blazer, so iot included some brackets. One of the brackets we used to mount it(with a little modification) than we made another one almsot exactly like it outta steel. We had two of these we coulda used, but the other one is for my switch panel/gauge pod. We used that one instead of make it outta steel, since it would look cleaner, and mroe perfectly made. My intake we had to do a little fabbing on, its not the prettiest looking, but this aint no show truck :D. We than got the brackets made, headed back home to install it. We ran some wire, and got all the incab wiring setup while we were letting the motor cool down some. I have the switch panel made up with 2 switches, and in the middle will go a water temp. gauge. I have not purchased this yet. One switch is currently not used, but will do my Offroad lights once i buy some new ones. The other one controlls the fan. It is a 2 way switch. Up position is All the time ON, Middle is normal operation where it goes with the built in thermostat thingy. And down is the most important, Manual Override OFF. This is for like water crossings and the like. So we got this all done. We than removed the old flex fan and Old radiator. We than did the easiest thing, put the new radiator/fan assembly in. That was the easy part, than came wiring everything up. We had almost everythign wired up, than stopped working around midnight. I let my dad do all the wiring. He is excellent at wiring, and as i coulda done it, it comes out better, and is more reliable :). While he was doing all the wiring, i was installing this cool thingy-mi-bob my bro made for me to tie all my breather lines in, at a later date(when i goto the store next) i will be putting a crankcase breather filter on it. Back to the wiring. We had everything done, cept the ignition ON wire we forgot to wire up inside, and the A/C Clutch wire.

Day 3- We went to got started on it around 11am. Got all the wiring done Got it fired off, worked first time. Than we seen the intake tube was close to the fan shroud, and the fan shroud isnt entirely covering the fan blades, and we were afrade it would hit the tube. So off come previously modified intake tube, and here comes more modfication. One trip to Home Depot, and 3 different to try. We ended up take some pipe and coming up with some wierd thing. LOL. All in All It works Great. Also on Day 2, we flipped the MAF upside down, My plug that plugged into the MAS was always tight, and could never get it slack, so flipped over it had plenty of slack.........

Now onto my opions on this. The engine is running 100% better in my book. It feels like it has more power. Now some of yall might say its all in the head. But heres my and my dads theroy on it.The Flex fan is different than the stock Clutch Type Fan. It is on ALL the time, unlike the clutch type where it goes with heat like this one does. Our theroy is that the Flex Fan NEVER let my engine warm up properly. I mean when i had the Flex fan my Gague NEVER moved....... But now, it actually moves to normal, than back to lower, with the opening and closing of the thermostat. I dont know what kinda temperatures im running, I plan on installing, jsut havent yet, a Water Temp Gauge, It will be going in the switch panel. Also some of yall might say my intake tube looks like crap, but hey its not a show truck, it gets muddy anyways, and it works like i want it to, no problems :). I will post more stuff as i remember about it......... Onto the pictures

I have some more pics, but my camera is acting up right now, i will post them ASAP.......

This coming summer will be a good test for it. Just incase it's not enough to cool the engine is there enough room to put another in front of the radiator?

Yea already planned on if it wasnt enough that i would mount a pusher fan...

also no need to wait till summer, it will be tested on the next trail ride :D

And i know Aldive has had his quite some time with out a problem so hopefully mine will work to, even though im offroad and hes street.......

Hi, im just here to post in his thread

Millionaireviper: post in my thread

Good job kid!

Looks good, I have the same fan. Before, on my 4.0 and even now with my new 5.0. It has always worked great. Street or 4 wheeling an very hot days with a/c going it doesent matter. One excellent fan. I mounted my fan sideways so the thermo control knob is actually on the side, which is still easy to get to but you have more room up top for your intake. A lot more. I also made brackets for mine coming off the four corners where the holes are already at on the fan. Just used a 1/8th by 3/4" of aluminum bar and it was very easy. You might want to do the same if you dont like how your intake came out. Let me know and Ill get pictures of the mounts I made which were simple and clean if you are interested.

Nice job. What connectors do you use on each of the four corners of the fan shroud?
