I'm going to replace the blend door plenum in my 97 5.0 awd explorer this weekend. For people who have done this, do you have to discharge the ac system and pull out the accumulator and ac hoses? Or can you just pull the blower motor assembly enough out of the way to get at the 3 nuts holding the plenum on the engine side?
