I have found quite a bit of info about the speed controller being the most likely cause of blower motor malfunction but I can't find anything about how to remove it. I believe it is located in the engine compartment just below the blower motor at the bottom of the evaporator box. There seems to be 2, 8 mill. screws that hold the controller to the evap. box. Does it pull out after these screws are removed or is there more to it? I hope the whole evap. box doesn't have to be removed. '97 LTD with EATC.
