Blowing coil packs.

2007 explorer limited 4.0. chk eng light code primary coil 2 or 3. Rough idle at stop. Cuts out intermittent or poor acceleration, ac would stop blowing cold then come back on.
Coil pack keep failing with crack. Repair shop said they found faulty broken wire at coil. Repaired, ran fine 1 day, but still blows coil(4). They check all the wires then. They gave up, said go to dealer. Said Maybe bad pcm.
This started with and Replaced alternator, replaced plugs, replaced ignition switch, egr valve.(codes said bad egr at one point) help!!!!!

Check to see if the plug is shorted. Maybe the electrode got pushed against the ground hook during installation.
