I'm pretty sure i have a blown plug in my '02, 4.6l, i will try to verify this when i get home. But assuming that i do, I have heard that i could still drive it to the repair shop if i disconnect the injector.

Is this correct?

where are the injectors and how hard is it to disconnect them?

thanks,

Dan.

its not a direct injection engine. Meaning that the injectors don't shoot directly into the cylinders.
They shoot into the intake manifold to mix fuel and air, then the mixture gets into the cylinders by the intake valves.
I don't think you need to unplug the injector. Fuel mixture will get into the cylinder even if you unplug it, and you will get a fuel injection circuit error code.
For your reference, the injector connectors are near the coil connectors for each plug. My injector connectors are white and I had to unplug each to remove each coil when I changed my plugs. The plastic snap can break off, but there is usually enough bite for it to hold on and make a good connection when you put it back on.
