Well, I finally decided to start a thread on it. For those of you who don't know, I will be doing a full-width swap. High-Pinion Dana 44 front and Ford 9" rear. I am still looking for the HP D44, but I picked up the 9" Monday. I have never really done a lot of work on axles, so this will definitely be a long process, but I have already done a lot of research about this(and am still learning a TON). I plan on doing as much of it myself as I possibly can, but will have a shop do the regear for me.

not to worry though.. I left the stasher his hoses and cables and crap and the one rotor that I could get off! Hope they are the right ones.

Wheel studs for disc conversion, BC Bronco's adjustable trac bar, and Bronco Graveyard EB adjustable trac bar mount. I also got a spanner nut socket so I can get those knuckles back in and set the preload, etc.

I've been working a lot lately. And as you know, it's been some crazy ass weather (warm weather, then rain, rain, more rain, cold, and now tonight it's supposed to flurry) :confused:

The rear axle is still sitting under the truck, but it's only held in by a brake line and the sensor in the diff. These will both be coming off tomorrow, then I'll be mocking up the 9" under there....which will be getting the new perches and shock mounts welded on, on Monday. From there, I'll just need to buy my rear calipers (doing that first thing next week) and build the caliper brackets. My parents are paying for the rear driveshaft to be extended so once I get the rear bolted up under there and have a rolling chassis again, I'm going to take it to Doraville Driveline to be extended. The tires and wheels are being mounted and balanced at 4 Wheel Drive Parts Center for free (it's nice to work next door :D) on Monday or Tuesday. The steering is also being ordered from them at the same time...

I'll post the pics I've got in about 10 minutes.

Why are you have an extended rear DS? Are you moving the rear axle?
 






No....the rear axle is staying where it's at. I'll need a longer driveshaft because of the fact that I'll be running about 8" of lift. Everyone I've talked to needed their's extended when they went over 6". Heck, even jrgaylor told me he eventually had to have his extended 4"!!! Plus, I can have a 1330 put on the end so I won't need to run a ******* u-joint.

Here's some pics of the temporary ride. It's a 94 Sonoma 2wd. My bro just turned 16 it'll be his truck once he gets his license. I was TRYING to talk him into a lift and 33s, and he agreed for a while, but now decided to do 3" drop all around, 17s, new exhaust, K&N, roll pan, etc. Should be pretty nice once he gets started on it.
