I followed the airbox modification with a throttle body upgrade. I found a 70mm bolt on on Ebay made by Blowfish Racing, no modification needed for the throttle cable or TPS.
My old throttle body would stick near idle and I figured bigger is better. The new TB matched the intake at 70mm.
Installation went pretty well, took a little longer than expected to get the idle right. In my installation the egr tube was plugged as it was already ported in the air inlet hose.
I set the TPS to match the old TB and installed, idle was too high. I recommend modifing the throttle bracket to allow adjustment of the idle screw if needed. The TPS adjustment is a good idea, although removal of TPS sensor is needed to adjust the TPS mount Allen screws.
I notice a better throttle response, and better acceleration but not a huge difference on my near stock engine. I have not done a 0-60 test yet.

Cool addition. It's good to see someone actually attempting to modify a V8.
