2007 sport trac 4.6L 4x4
I recently purchased a 2007 Sport trac Limited 4x4. This is the exact vehicle I was looking for but I has a Boost gauge installed in the molding above the steering coloum etc. Myself and serval others cannot seem to see where any type of turbo or sperchsrger has ever been installed and then removed. I am assuming that is is only for decoration. Is typical for people to install these for decoration or is there any other reason for installing one?

Welcome to the forum! It's definitely not normal for someone to install a boost gauge without good reason. Maybe the previous owner had plans to go supercharged (its more popular and easier route than turbo) and never got around to it.

Is it a combination boost/vacuum gauge? Maybe they just wanted it for the vacuum function.
