Gday guys, I am looking at fitting a set of Spectre Braded Radiator hoses to my Explorer.

Does anyone know what the Inside diameter of the Explorer radiator hoses are for a 97 V6 SOHC.

Also anyone who has done this before what length hose did you use, I am looking at using a 20-inch for the top radiator hose and a 17-inch for the bottom hose.

Also am I correct in thinking that the heater hoses have a Inside diameter of 15.10mm? am going to use the Goodyear Blue rubber hoses for these

Why am I doing this, well cause I think it would look good and I can also buy the braided Hoses off summit for cheaper than what I can get the OEM hoses hear in Aus for. :D

Cheers.

Have you tryed pep boys? I was just in there today and they sell that stuff...but it isnt spectre its something else.

How expensive is it to own an expo in Aus? I could only imagine gas prices there

No Pep Boys around down hear, Braded Hoses Spectre in Aus are worth about $100+ each, I can by them from summit for around $55 for top and bottom hoses + the shipping it will come to $100 Aus, to my door, not a bad deal.

As for running a X down hear wile I Just did 468Km (290 miles) and put $80 worth of fuel in the tank at 1.37 per litre so 58Litres, too fill my tank from empty probably a little over $100

Fuel has just dropped back down from 1.42 per litre, that Just regular Unleaded fuel too By the way

We get charged a lot for some parts, thus why I try and get stuff from the U.S when worth wile.

I have $2000 worth of suspension on my truck and that’s a 2 1/2inch lift.

My tyre’s 31” Cooper ST’s cost about $250 Each, my mate just put 33” BFG Mud T/A’s on his jeep for $301 a tyre and that is a discounted price as his uncle owned the tyre store.

It’s not cheep lets just say that.

What are you guys paying for fuel (Gas) at the moment.?

2.87 a gal in nc

Just worked that out, it converts into roughly $1 per litre in Australian $. Around 75-80 cent’s a litre in U.S $

Man I wish I were paying that agene.

Hear is the thing we get taxed about 30Cent per litre+ 10% GST on top of that for Fuel.

So if it weren’t for the taxes we would be back around 96 cent’s a litre.

The Government makes a Killing on fuel excise, they tax us when we buy it 30Cent’s +10$ GST, they tax the oil companies when they mine it and they tax the refinery when they sell it to the Fuel station.

I mean F**K how many times can you tax a product no wonder the stuff is so expensive.

Anyway getting back to the original question, Do you know what in I.D of the radiator hoses are.?

Cheers.
