Break fluid is leaking were the master cylinder bolts up to the brake booster. I'm not that savy (i'll ask stupid questions), but i am assuming i will have to replace the master cylinder. I've looked them up online, and it seems that there are master cylinder with or without speed control.

Do I have to replace the master cylinder and not simply a gasket? (i'm a starving student, the less i spend the better)

How do i determing if the master cylinder has speed control censor?

Will I run into complication replacing the master cylinder if the car is equiped with abs brakes?

Any helpfull tips are greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance, you guys always help out.

I would suggest buying a used part if the cost at Autozone etc. is too high. They don't fail ever basically, I would not mind any used master cylinder.

BTW, all Sport Explorer trucks like yours have ABS, and the same master cylinder. I would expect that any 95-2000 Sport model would work for you. The 2001 and newer trucks got bigger rotors, so those may be slightly different. Regards,
