I need to replace my pads, the rear passenger side is metal on metal, so I know I'll have to replace all 4 pads at once. But what about the disks? I need to replace the one disk with the worn pad, but do I also have to replace the other disks at the same time? Like I have to do with the pads. And also, what about the calipers, how do I know when those need replacing?

One more thing. When you buy pads from say Advance Auto Parts, do they come in 2s or 4s?... or 1s... Just trying to figure out if $85 is for all 4 or not. (http://www.partsamerica.com/Product...OT&MfrPartNumber=BRSD667&PartType=220&PTSet=A)

Thanks

To do a proper brake job you must have each disc measured to see if it is within spec when you have it cut. Each disc "should" be cut to start with a new finish for the new brakepad. The problem is that these new rotors dont start with enough metal on them to be cut like in the old days without going out of spec. I would at the least replace both rear rotors in pairs.

As far as the calipers as long as they operate properly I would just clean the them up and grease them using brake grease. I would replace the brake fluid if you havent done this recently (It absorbs water over time).

This all assumes you are keeping the car. If you are going to get rid of it son I would replace only the bad rotor....:us:

Pads are sold as a set for 1 axle. 4 pads for front or rear in 1 box
