2002 explorer sport
Hi. Newbie here lookoing for help. I have a 2002 Explorer Sport. Replace brake pads, Master cylinder and now front right caliper. I've had this truck for a couple of months and the brakes just dont stay firm. I have bled them over and over, and recently used a vacume bleeder. When I start it after sitting, brake pedel is firm. 2 minutes later, soft pedel 'halfway down'. Then It goes back to firm. does anyone have any suggestions why this happens? Any help would really be appreciated. I also would like to add when the pedal does go about halfway down, the second pump of the brakes firm them back up again. Could that be a bad abs pump? Thanks in advance.

Check your brake line for deterioration / swollen. Bad brakes lines will expand when pedal is applied causing loss of pressure. Also check vacuum line.

Thank you for your reply. I did replace the brake line when I had the caliper replaced. What should I look for as far as the vaccume line goes. Thanks again.
