I've had a 2000 explorer xlt for about 3 years. I've been reading these forums since then and they have helped alot on small issues.
Finally joined today because starting yesterdaythe explorer lost 3rd 4th and reverse works (kindof) od light is flashing and I've been reading this forum all day looking for ideas.
I'll probably be posting in the tech trans forum here in a few.

oh 4.0 sohc auto with I believe the 4r55e trans in it.
just did a filter kit today to no avail.

Welcome to this forum! The flashing O/D light indicates a stored code. Find out what the code number is.

thanks but I'm in Seminole about 70 miles southeast.
and its in limp mode. still trying to search for similar threads so I don't risk being redundant
