Brenspeed Re-Releases 3V Sport Trac Supercharger Package / explorer & mountaineer

Hi Everybody we are proud to announce that shortly we will again be offering supercharger packages for the 3V Sport Trac, Explorer, and Mountaineer. Some of you may remember we had a Saleen supercharger conversion for the 3V Sport Trac, Mountaineer, and Explorer so let me give you a little back story.

For many years we had an excellent Saleen supercharger conversion for you. Over the last year and a half the Saleen Supercharger has become unavailable for us to purchase. Another issue in using the Saleen is we could not mail order the package as so many modifications were needed for fitment. So to answer the need for speed we purchased another Sport Trac & Explorer to create an all new package for you. This package is much better than before we are really excited to release it shortly AND YES it will be available for mail order.

Pricing is not finialized but I can tell you mail order package will be available in 8 weeks but we can install these in house right now. The Saleen package used to be $8,000 installed and this one is not only IMPROVED but will COST LESS.

GT500 Fuel Injectors, Rail, and GT500 Throttle Body

Brenspeed Calibration loaded on an SCT programmer
Full instructions to install
Estimated Retail will be $6899 (Less than our Saleen Package was)
This kit will be rated 475 to 500 HP (still finializing calibration)

I have been pounding miles on this package and it is SO FUN. Its nice to hear a supercharger again under the hood of the sport tracs. Throttle response is hugely improved and you will be looking forward to when it is time to pass the car in front of you.

We will keep you up to date with our progress. We just wanted to give you a sneak peek, show you a couple video's, and let you see a tour of our facility.

Very interesting package and price! A few questions for Brenspeed,

Do you think the stock pistons and rods in the explorer 4.6 are strong enough to support those power levels for many reliable miles? Are the stock pistons hyperutectic or cast? What is the stock compression ratio on the 4.6 explorer motor? what kind of max psi levels are you seeing with this kit?

Hi 06bluez,

We are gathering up all the data for the conversions and will have more updates for you all soon. We are not going to run a lot of boost on the package. We did abuse test higher boost levels without issue but you have take into account what a person uses the truck for. The limiting factor is not so much just the strength of the factory rod (which is the weak link) but the weight and use of the vehicles. This package is designed for the heavy vehicle and the use of it (towing for example) so boost will likely come in at 5 to 7 psi.

Install takes 2 days. We offer a free stay in our Brenspeed Guest House for customers that are staying for the installation.

New Video of Stryker 475 Package

Hey guys. Just checking in with some new information on the Supercharger Package.

We have installed a few of the Stryker 475 Packages here at Brenspeed since the release and they are even better than we planed. According to our Tech, they are as easy to install as a Mustang Supercharger, and some area's are even easier!!

The HP and Torque this package makes is a perfect power level for this heavy truck on the stock engine.

We have all custom parts in manufacturing right now, and mail order packages are right around the corner.

We are also installing this package on a 2006 Explorer next week and will have some information on that when we finish it up.
