It looks like you have 31's. And an Explorer with 31's is very capable of many things. I am amazed at what I can do with mine.

Yes my explorer is stock height with sagging stock springs. The tires are 29" BFG's (LT235 75R15) stock size.

The first picture I didnt make it. I was really close. I could have tried again with a different line but my foot was hurting from the clutch pedal. Get the moab video and you will see me trying to climb up that rock.

any new updates?
The list above is pretty much current including my latest few mods like Viar on board air and the fuel pump access panel. I do have some mods in the works but my Explorer will stay about the same, just better :D

I will add this-

I have been focusing most of my 4 wheeling in remote backcountry locations as well as making trips to get there. With over 200k on the odometer I carry many spare parts for any backcountry repairs. Most fit in a small ammo can while a few others I have stuffed in other places. What I carry:

serpentine belt
computer
new fuel pump
new fuel pressure regulator
various vacuum and fuel hose
fuses both sizes
new starter relay
driveshaft bolts
new ujoint
radius arm hardware (nut/washers)
new locking hub
radiator cap
thermostat
fuel cap
TPS
IAC
misc wire and connectors
2 spark plug wires
1 new fuel injector
O2 sensor

Still on the list to get is a belt tensioner, MAF and fuel filter

Brian,

I'd suggest changing your fuel pump at 200,000 miles. Mine died at around 220,000 - fortunately, I was only 10 miles from my house.

Better to change it when you want to, at your house, than when it decides to die, somewhere out in the backcountry, in the middle of the night in the pouring down rain.

I was looking at my old avatar a few days ago and noticed my Explorer still had the roof rack on it, that picture was old! It was time for a new one.

...And your Ranger happens to make a very small guest appearence in my new avatar :D
