Broken Front Spider Gear??

My Front Drivers Side CV Axle is floppy where it goes into the Differential.. With that side only off the ground, that wheel will spin when it should be locked.. So I'm thinking the Spider Gear is broken which seems crazy because I've never driver this thing hard..

Anyone else experience this??

With that tire only off the ground the tire will spin. But the front drive shaft between the diff and the transfer case will also spin.
