Bought a 92 OHV and found out it has a broken timing chain.
1. Are these interference heads?
2. My haynes manual only says not to disrupt the timing, but not how to time the engine if your timing is already hosed
3. Can somebody post how to re-time the engine assuming cam and crankshaft gears are off and the timing chain is gone and the tensioner is shot?
My timing chain had a pin totally bent out and a tooth missing off the cam sprocket which sort of worries me.
4. Also, the book says that the tensioner should be a ratcheting type, but the one I have consists of a spring and a solid metal tip, but no ratcheting part at all. Also, its plastic.
Thanks!
