Brush Guard Question

I was looking at this brush guard for my '00... but it says it only will fit a '98. Would it work ne ways? could i make it work?

I think it would work except maybe for the lower mounts. The front bumper changed in 1999.

for $130 is it worth trying? I can prob sell it if it does not fit. Most brush guards i was looking at were at least $250

when you get the brush guard keep the papers because there is a section that says you can return the product if it does not fit your car with a full refund... i would say try it

I have a westen brush gaurd and it says it fits all the generation II explorers so i dont know why that one is different.
