Completed Project Burns SAS thread

Well as a few of you know my X was messeed up a bit due to a accident. so i have been looking for a new plan.
i have my axles (d44/ford9") all i need is to choose what i am gonna do.
i was thinking about thiS:
In the front i plan to use whild horse 5.5 inch coils,

for radius arms i plan to use this.

they are 12 inches longer that the stock radius arms.i have the whole frame from a 78 f-150 that i plan to get the coil buckets and steering off of.
i want to use a 37 inch tire and use 4.88 gears
i dont see a problem with any of this so i need some info to see if i have missed anything

sparta is possibly 10,000 it might be smaller. i thought about JP but that would be a lot of work if it got scratched. and the tooper idea it just straight lines and base colors
 






Just a little FYI on the lights. While they would look cool, keep in mind that they will be subject to damage on the trail from tree branches and whatnot. They are one more thing that could potentially get caught up on something.
 












yeah that has run through my mind i want a cage so possibly built into a exo
no it will be easily removable with a quick wirein kit

yeah i did that cause it was three colors after i had the fender replaced after that wreck in feb.

well i found a good prob with my d44. :fire: :fire: :fire: the outer joints on it are weak. it is almost the same thing rick did on the badlands trip. :fire:

the question for anyone smart is can i use d60 outer joints and possibly shafts.

$400 will get you yukon 4340 cromo inner and outer shafts for the dana 44. comes with a 5 yr warranty. i stuck them in mine after snapping my axle shafts.
 






i was reading a article in a 4x4mag and if im correct they used d60 35spline shafts and a air locker in a d44. using the d60 parts from the balljoints out.
 






doesnt parts mike sell a kit like that, for using d60 outers on a 44.?

He also sells D60 rotors that have a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern :thumbsup:
 






you would need to change the knuckles, I thought I read somewhere you couldnt fit the d60 u-joint (760?) through the d44 knuckles.
 






Sorry for the confusion...what I meant was, if he went with the D60 knuckles that he could get those rotors with 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern ;)

well with all this new info who do i need to contact to get this roling cause if i can boot the money i will have it done to fix it now.
