Well as a few of you know my X was messeed up a bit due to a accident. so i have been looking for a new plan.
i have my axles (d44/ford9") all i need is to choose what i am gonna do.
i was thinking about thiS:
In the front i plan to use whild horse 5.5 inch coils,

for radius arms i plan to use this.

they are 12 inches longer that the stock radius arms.i have the whole frame from a 78 f-150 that i plan to get the coil buckets and steering off of.
i want to use a 37 inch tire and use 4.88 gears
i dont see a problem with any of this so i need some info to see if i have missed anything

I had...or should I say. I'm having mine done  I just didn't want to mess with it. I'm runnig a Powertracks No-Slip in my rear end as a DD. Once your get use to the tires cherping a bit here and there it's great! That and I think my milage went up a MPG or so too. ;)

Gears are not that hard they are just time consuming to get right especally when you havent done them before. It took me about 9 hrs or so to setup my dana 44. I paid $100 to have my 8.8 done. I could have done it myself but it was faster/ easier just to have some one who does it everyday do it.

i want to find someone to do it because it has been a while since my dad has done it. he also agrees one the time factor and thinks it will take him about 8 hrs.

well i have everthing i need (gears, master install kit, tires, the rest of my lift) so now i just need is about four weeks to get it all done.

paint is another question i want a orange but i dont want to copy ricks pumpkin. i want something of that sort though. orange is my fav.

im gonna try to get my gears done by any shop i can find around me. that way i can be doin the rest of my front lift and get blocks for the rear till i can order springs

well shop around. by me, gearing varied between 900-1200 and finally i found a shop that would do it 200 per axle. and without any connections, that was the cheapest i could find and it was 40 miles away.

well its too late for that i got home from school today and he had it all apart and should have it done by tomm. faster than i thought. its all good he ask me this morn if i wanted him to work on it today and i just decided that he could do it.

well he has done it before and i dont see any reason to go anywhere else when this is free. also today i was driving to school and well i lost second gear. i just converted it to a manual two weeks before the accident. so now i need to rebulid at least part of the tranny

well i guess you cant shop around for a better deal than free! sucks about your tranny though. at least manuals are cheaper to rebuild n such.

well the weird thing is that is does not make any nose. so i think it is in the linkage part of the tranny. it will slide down to where second is but does nothing. and free is great. im gonna clean up a few things tonight so it might be set up tomm

what is everyone doing for shocks
i need to check on this soon

I'm gonna measure for mine on the RTI ramp. Right now I'm running 6" lifted F250 ES3000's up front and they're really definitely too short for full droop...let alone with the r/a pin pulled. In the rear I'm running Skyjacker Nitro 8000s for Explorers. Those are also gonna limit my flex. I'm gonna measure front and rear and run Rancho adjustables rs9000x's.

well i guess i just need to see what it will do in length first. im not sure but i think i will end up with 10.5inches of total lift. but i want it to flex like the beast i want it to be.
