Buying A 05 Explorer, 4x4, Trany Issues

I am buying a 2005 Explorer 4x4, 4.0, XLT. It has 115,000 miles. There is an issue with the transmission. The seller, who I have bought my last several vehicles from will fix the issues. Great track record. Should I be concerned or should I even buy the vehicle?
