Greetings:
I have a 1994 explorer. Back in 2006 the front driver's side power window motor was replaced as it had stopped working. About a year ago the following started in the same window: when I lower the window it gets about 1/3 of the way down and stops, and the motor (I guess) starts buzzing. If I raise it back up it will hit full up and the buzzing starts again if I keep the switch on. When the window hangs going down (as described above), I can push down on it and it will free up, continue down. Then about another 1/3 of the way down it will again hang up and the buzzing will start again. Again I can get it to continue down if I push down on it. When I raise the window from full down position, it will hang at the same spots and I can get it free by pulling up on it. I just replaced the gear plugs as a first quick cheap fix but that didn't help. I figure it's either the "regulator" or motor. Has anyone had or heard of this problem before? Thanks for any help!
