Ford Motor Company World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan is missing the logo that has carried the company through both good and bad times.
This past weekend, cranes moved in to remove the Ford Blue Oval, the most recognized corporate logo of any company around the world. In its place will appear the script version of the words Ford Motor Company.
The removal of the Ford logo itself caused a controversy. A well circulated rumor hit the press as it claimed a feud between Jac Nasser CEO of Ford and Bill Ford Jr. chairman of Ford Motor Company started when Mr. Nasser suggested the removal of the blue oval at a private board meeting.
The rumors where later dismissed as Mr. Ford and Mr. Nasser together made numerous public appearances to discredit the rumors.
