Actually there is 5... 2 front(tire is blocking driver one) 2 middle and 1 rear.

Looks like I need a skid plate for the t-case still though:scratch:

As I read it (I did some searching)...

Rock lights are so the spotter can see the rocks under your rig AND so you can see what is about to whack your door..

The side lights I have light up about from the back of the front tire to midway down the rear door (there is light farther back but not bright as it gets to the rear tire)..
It lights up under the truck and about 18" to 2 feet outside of the truck (to the sides).

As for the front and rear lights.. Since I can't see what I'm going to hit there I really just want them to light up under the truck and not really much past the ends of the truck? Does that sound right?

Also, anyone know the CB channels EF is gonna use out there? (I think I know where we are going to be, but I'm not positive).

...maniak, here is a good view of stic-o's setup of his rock light locations...:D

ha ha ha ha ha, oh crap, I can't stop laughing............And if you tip it on its side, the installation goes much smoother.......no crawling around under the dirty truck.
Steve, your truck is way too clean under there. You need some good old fashioned oil leaks to goo it up a little.

We are normally on ch 1 and if that gets busy we go to 4.

Actually you see there is a bit from not getting the filter on the all the way:rolleyes:

You want leaks? go look at the B2. I think the radiator only holds half way, and the valve covers leak so bad, that's she's about a quart low now. and the real kicker, is the temp never get's over half way in it, even on a really hot day with the A/C on high:confused:

Let there be light...

I mounted one rock light (drivers side) and hooked it up to power.. The pics a little over exposed (the lens stayed open for almost 25 seconds)... You can see where the light goes but you can tell its brighter in the pic than it is in real life..

EDIT: the 2nd pic is after I adjusted the pic.. Its more like the 2nd pic in real life (its pitch black out)

Oh man this is gonna be fun. I can't wait for the videos....

I was hard at work today for t-haven fixing the san andreas fault line cracks in my rear bumper;) :p:

I thnk we are gona have a lot of fun out there. I went out to this morning to drive to school and I had a flat on the rig. :( I had to go and have a shop to patch the side wall on my tire so it will hold out long enough to be able to buy brand new tires. I need to stop buying used tires lol.

Atleast I have full tread on the tires. They are just old tires.

Yup where the side pieces are welded to the main bumper. Just had my welder run a bead down both sides to try and smooth it out a bit still have some grinding to do yet and then repaint the whole thing.

Ah...I though you ment the main bumper, I always planned to run supports into the frame from the side pieces, but never got to it:rolleyes:

Anyone else think Steve is using all this work on his rig as an excuse to hide in the garage from his pregnant wife?
