Hello, everyone.

I have a 2001 explorer. There is a problem with air flow from the ac vents to the defrost vents. What I notice is traveling up hill, the ac vents reduces in air flow to zero but the defrost vents increase in air flow. I have also noticed that if I let off the gas going up hill, the air flow returns to the ac vents. When travel down hill, ac vents flows ok. I think it is vaccum related but not sure. Any information is helpfull from anyone. Thank you, dwkexplorer

Welcome to this forum! It sounds like a vacuum related problem. This is usually caused by partially cracked plastic vacuum tubing near the vacuum control servo. Check the vacuum reserve canister for cracks as well.
