LOL....Yeah still better than the dealers idea, he put their advertisement sticker on it oh at say about a 35degree angle... Not only am I not a fan of those stickers(why should I pay them ridiculous amounts to advertise for them), but it drew lots of attention to it. So I pulled it off, took all the touch up paint wit it. So now I show my love for country, and it hides my flaws..LOL :us:

Hi, Well you can't miss my truck around Garner. Has a 88 sticker, Buell sticker, and a Canes sticker in the back window. I am not out and about as much because of gas prices. But I will look for you guys.

Those are 3 stickers you see a lot of around here, but if I see them on an Explorer, I'll wave. ;)

I've got a JEGS, All Balls Racing, Performance Accesories, and Duke University stickers on mine haha. They stick out pretty good.

We might forgive you for the Duke sticker. :p:

Hey, I have had so much crap going wrong in my life that I haven't responded. The Duke sticker is good, they take good care of my children, whom have medical problems.

So I haven't read the whole thread but is there anywhere in Wake or Chatham county to wheel?

Truck hasn't seen dirt since May:

Sorry, I haven't been online in a while...Decided to drop a note after I Totaled my Exploder yesterday. Rear Ended someone after the guy in front of him stopped on the end of a bridge. We are not sure as things happened so fast but it seems my brakes locked up for a couple seconds and then the truck felt like it accelerated. I told this to my brother and he said that the skid marks were about 20 feet then the truck was another 30 feet further on...no more skid marks... Anyway we are ok, but my insurance is going up...and I have no vehicle...

Had felt weird once before, but I had never done a emergency stop before.

Wow, that sucks. Sorry to hear it, but glad you are all OK. Where did it happen?

Well, Put a deposit down on a 2002 today, should get everything finalized next week.

So just waiting on the insurance check to come in the mail and I will finalize the deal on my 02'. I have seen a lot of bad stuff here on the off-road capabilities of the new explorers. I only need it to handle the beach sand and I will be Happy. And from what I can see and understand of these systems, It should handle that type of environment better than the last model, with the IRS and a smarter 4wd system and a good bit more clearance. I am not into all the modifications anyway. So Stock against Stock it should be better than the last 2 generations. And It has tons more space...So a bad situation has some good outcome. Larry

Congrats on the new ride! Hope to see it around town.

Thanks, I hope I made the right decision, I could have had a Chevy Blazer with lots less miles and cheaper and it has a better off road capability. But I had lots of factors to look at and the Explorer fit better. And hey I still get to be part of the group here. LOL. Larry

Yeah, no matter what happens, you're better of with the Explorer than a Blazer. Yuck!
