on an explorer with a two piece right side upper control arm can a camber adjustment kit be used or does the control arm have to be converted to a single control arm for the camber adjustment kit to be used? I looked and it appears that it would work. I am putting a moog kit in the drivers side but I know the passengers side is not quite correct. Anyone have any experience with this?:yelexp:

Yep, you can use the caster/ camber adjustment kit on either the two piece or one piece upper control arm. Are your ball joints still good? I ask because if you're taking the control arms off to replace the adjuster washers/ bolts then it's a great time to replace the upper control arms/ balljoints.

Thanks, I thought I could but i wasn't sure. Ball joints are fine cause they're new! lol Didn't find out about the camber adjustment until I had replaced the upper and lower control arms and the tie rod ends. Oh I did the wheel hubs while I was at it! Thanks for the info. I need to order another kit now. :D

Another quick question. On the Drivers side upper control arm rear camber adjusting bolt has anyone found a good way to install it the way ford had them installed? Originally the bolt head is towards the shock tower nut to the rear so that you could get a ratchet on the nut to torque it. Man it is as hard as it can be trying to install the camber adjusting bolt in the same way. If only it was 1/2 in shorter. I put it in reverse however now you can not easily tighten the nut because the bolt has the camber adjustment washers on it you can not just tighten the bolt head. Argh I have a love hate relationship at times with cars and trucks. I'll figure it out just curious if anyone else cares to share their thoughts and experiences on this matter.

I have a 3" body lift so that made is alittle easier but it was still hard with the fuel and brake lines there in the way as well as the shock tower. Without a body lift the best way I found doing them on my wife's '97 Mounty (same setup) I had to go from the top on one of them and cut the inner fender and fold it back up a bit to get the torque wrench in there. I held the washer in place until I got the bolt in the UCA.
