Can a non LS explorer use LS oil

Hello, i have a 2002 Ford Explorer 4x2 with 150,000 mi. Axle code is 45. The transmission had been rebuild but there are still noise coming from the back. I read that if i put 75w-140, it would damper the noise.

question: Can a non LS differential use LS differential oil? I plan to use Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear lobe LS 75W-140
