Can anybody recommend a good transmission rebuild kit for the 5R55S?

I've got 175K on my 2004 Explorer and in dropping the transmission pan last weekend, I found bits of brass pieces making me think my clutches are shot which explains the shift flare I have been experiencing over the past month.

I see some that say Motorcraft Master Overhaul Kit is good

The brass is not clutch related but is also not good. The brass will be from thrust washers, bushings or planetary gears. The flair is more than likely the servo bore wear. As far as a Motorcraft kit I can’t say as I have not used them. Just a heads up there is a lot more parts that will be needed other than a kit.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm sure there will be other parts that would need to be replaced and that would be revealed once I do the tear down.
