i was wondering if there is a way i can use rattle can spray paint (spray tint to be exact), and apply it with a paint brush. Reason being i want to apply a light coat of it to my third brake light, and i have a lund windjammer thats kinda in the way, i figure it'd be much easier to do with a small paint brush.

thanks
ryan

could you find the same paint in like a pint or quart size container?

I dont see why not. If you are going to do it I would use a foam brush instead of a regular bristle brush. With the foam brush you wont get brush stroke marks.

why just the period?

I have tried it before with several different paints. Be aware......spray paint generally dries way to quick for brushing. You will need to spray out a good size puddle (similar to overspraying and getting a paint run) to get enough to brush. Even then it will get sticky very fast. I have never got a good, smooth finish this way. I only used it in hidden areas on some other projects.
You might get lucky, but I don't think I would do it on a visible part. At least experiment first. JMHO.

I heard some type of Testor's model paint can be used for tinting, I found an article on a Jetta that did it. I tinted my tails with the spray, and the spraying worked fine, ended up using the whole can too. I also did it to my third brake light. Can the windjammer be removed?

it could but i would like to leave it on if at all possible

how about using some plastic bags or some sort to cover everything up and some tape, and just spray away

i used newspaper, masking tape, and old blanks to keep the overspray off.....i got it done but its sorta dark to take pictures...turned out pretty well
