Canister Purge Valve / Vent Solenoid

I have a CEL that threw a code of P0446. Ran a leak test and it revealed the leak was between the valve and the canister. After doing some research....it seems that I just just need to replace the Vent Solenoid and check the lines. My question is...how or what do I need to do to access the Vent Solenoid.....is this something I can do in my driveway? Where is it located on a 1997 Ford Explorer? (above the spare tire???)

Any assistance or pictures would be very helpful.

Where is the canister purge valve on a 1996 Ranger 4.0?

I don't have a 96 manual, but for the 97 Ranger, the Fuel Vapor canister is located in the engine compartment, and the purge valve is located somewhere inline (in the hose between) the canister and the throttle body.
