Can't adjust temp.

I have a 97 XLT, SOHC, 158K, all stock. When I turn the function control to heat, I get heat but am unable to adjust the temp. It blows the same hot air with the temp control fully cold or fully hot. I cannot hear anything moving when I turn the temp control up or down. Also, how does the temp control work? Is it vacuum or electric? There are no cables from the control, only what looks like 3 or 4 wires.

Try searching the threads for temp. blend door replacement. I believe it is driven by an electric motor.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll search. I can't hear the "clicking" noise, so I wasn't sure it could be the blend door.

It's the blend door for sure.
