After working on small cars with tiny engines, I learned a few tricks that apply to even
one's lawn equipment. An automobile with an 850cc engine needs all the HP it will get!
Weber carbs are intricate and no matter how much carb cleaner or compressed
air one used, one trick made them run right.

Symptom:
It ran great yesterday, last week or last whatever and now it will not rev-up, idle
dies you name it. Rather than grabbing dad's favorite ball peen carb fixer tool, we will use
slight of hand, literally!

First repair try:
Rev the motor and while at High RPM (however it much will muster) place you hand
over the carb choke off air flow. This will draw minor particles that are hampering
the atomization of the fuel or flat blocking it off. This sure has fixed a lot of carb problems!!!
If 2 stroke reset high and low speed jets.
If this doesn't fix it, well you know what is next.

As a final tip "Easy-Off" oven cleaner in the blue can works wonders on removing carb
gunk as well as the oxidized brass from ethanol in the fuel. DO NOT USE THE YELLOW CAN
it has lye in it!

Forgot to add; The hand trick might have to be performed several
times to work. Try not to wash out the plugs by letting the engine
clear out at high RPM.
