Carbon Fiber Dash kit

I see it's been a while since the last post here, but I thought it's always better late than never to toss in my 2 cents ! :) I have the aluminum dash kit from Exotic Wood dash installed on Blackjack, and it's just so-so. I was expecting some real aluminum, not laquered over paper. Still, it looks good except for the covers for the power window switches-they look incomplete. I do get lots of compliments though....my only advice is to be REALLY patient putting the stuff on, and ALWAYS have a little tube of super glue nearby, especially in the first month after you put it on, cuz it'll peel up at the edges when you least expect it. After you get everywhere glued down, it's virtually impossible to get it off by accident, and it's easy to clean the surface with armor all or what have you.

i never was into this until recently i want one, if i have to make a dash kit out of aluminum looking material i will do this, we gotta get something

i have some money and i was thinking about getting a pure gold dash. I know this is possible but I would want a professional installer of course. I am thinkin it will cost around 100,000. so any info would be nice.

sure danin

suuuuuure you have that kind of dough...

and yet you only drive and explorer (not a range rover 4.6, or a lamborghini LM)

ok, and after you get your Gold dash installed, i'll do mine in pure Platinum with diamonds around the headunit and instrument clusters.

there is no way you have the money for a solid gold dash kit, and if you did, you'd be crazy to blow that kind of money on something so.. picky

I was gonna do the molded wood dash and all, then I looked at carbon fiber aluminum etc. the more I've thought about it, it seems lower and lower on my priority list, anymore, I see the ones that aren't molded replacements as stickers.. definatley a perspective to look at IMO guys :)

I was thinking about smashing a bunch of beer cans flat and making my own dash kit. :') "No officer I haven't been drinking. I don't know why it smells like beer in here!"
