I just bought my Explorer a week ago today. I'm looking to get a cargo liner for it soon as I don't want to mess up the carpet, it also has the factory carpet mats which are stained. I looked around online some. I've found Husky, Highland, Weathertech, are there more? basicly I want to know what's the best ones to get, what do you all have? looked on ebay, best price on a Husky I could find was $75.00 shipped, which I think is way to much. Is there somewhere to get these cheaper?

Thanks

I went with the husky liners thruout so that everything matches. I work in the oilfield so I get a lot of mud that can get on everything and it doesn't like to come off. I also live in nd and that means snow, lots of snow, and snow sticks to boots. the husky lines do an excellent job at holding that water. when I get too much I simply open the door and use my boot to push the edge down and the water flows out of my exploder. I like them a lot. also want to mention that things will slide around on the cargo mat if you drive enthusiastically. this also eliminated the use of the tie down hooks. I have to haul a lot of crap so it's rarely a problem for me.

Depending on what style cover you are looking for.... check out PetSmart they carry waterproof washable cargo liners designed to protect interior from dogs. I have 2 labs, leather seats no problems. Oh and mine was $39

I went with the weathertech extreme duty floor liners from autoanything.com. For weathertech you can also price mats.com who drop ships for autoanything. I have had Husky's before and some other knock offs in the past and the Weathertechs are far better in my opinion. They fit the X extremely well, so well that I could not leave the stock mats under them because it messed up how they fit. The quality is noticed in the price though. Exelcent and cheap usually don't go hand in hand.

Where are you going to get it?

Not 100% sure yet. One of the autoparts websites, ie auto partswarehouse, partsbin etc... Which ever one has the best price. If you have any thoughts or ideas? I would be more than happy to hear them.

I recently ordered a new one from AutoAnything ( www.autoanything.com ) for $84.00 shipped.

Thanks for the info. Do you have Husky mats through out your Explorer, or did you just get a cargo liner? I'm going to start out with the cargo liner. I may get front and rear Husky mats later down the road. I have the medium graphite interior color, how does Husky's colors match up to it?

Update: I found a brand new one on ebay with a BIN for $70.00 + shipping. It also had a best offer option so for the heck of it I offered $50.00. To my surprise the guy took it. So it's on it's way here for $61.50 shipped. Still more than I think they are worth but looks like I got a good deal.

Hey Maverick- if you haven't done front mats yet, try the quarter wash to soap and powerwash them - mine were thrashed and they came out looking brand new. Just a thought.

Killer deal on the Husky cargo liner! They are overpriced, but they're good tough units.
