I'm not sure about a 94, but on my 96 sport you can't run duels around the spare tire. You can run 3" pipe off the cat and out the stock location. Hope this helps.

Jim,

I would assume that your 96 has a full size spare? So I assume that it will work. If not any suggestions on where to mount it so that it will be out of site, out of mind?
Thanks again.

David,

Yeah that's exactly what I was talking about. I just needed to know if I would have to install a rear mount tire rack. But according to your pic you can run duels around the spare. If you go to the "More Explores" link on the main page and look at Brian Green's 2wd Explorer he has the exhaust system that I want. Though his is a Flowmaster I am sold on Borla. It looks to me like he had remove the spare and I wasn't sure if that was going to have to be the case. Anyway I can see that its not. Thanks for your help Jim and David. Dead Link Removed

Yes, my truck does have a full size spare. I don't really understand what your asking, but the only way I could think of running duels is to run them out the side before the back tire. Duels would be much easier if you get a rear mount tire rack.

I've had a dual exhaust system on every Explorer I've owned. My first was a 93, then a 96, now a 99. I never had a problem with the spare on any of them. I took mine to a local shop and they were able to bend everything the right way so it would fit. All of mine have come out of the rear
