I noticed that these are becoming difficult to find new. I just listed two used for sale on ebay, if anyone is interested (I no longer have a 2d gen). Drew.

Good buy, and getting rare. I think you meant to say 2nd Gen on Ebay listing. Also don't forget these also work for single year '97 Mercury Mountaineer.

Fixed it already, thanks. I had a couple go out, so these were spares. Last time I saw them from Ford dealer they were like$100. I hate to toss them out...

Yes, they were big bucks new and I had to find one in local yard to replace the one on my wife '97 Mountaineer.

Loose the ballast and florescent bulb and replace with an waterproof LED strip. I did this on my '97. Cost me around $12-$15 all in.
