Wait what was the question?

Ok guys I know this is nowhere near the topic but since this is a thread with lots of TX drivers I figure one of you could answer my question then I'll butt out.

I'm needin to know if a CEL will cause you to fail inspection in TX. My girlfriend is fron TX and her car is registered there since it's still in her moms name. We have to drive there mid July to get it inspected and if it's gonna fail cause of the CEL i'd like to get it repaired locally in TN by someone I know. Oh BTW is a 2004 Hyundai Sonata if that makes a difference.

Thanks Ya'll sorry for buttin in.

Yes it will fail. Any CEL will cause a fail. Usually, if the inspector is courteous enough, they will let you know this before they run the inspection. I know you use to be able to just clear the code and get it inspected. However, I have heard some talk about the inspector having to check how many cycles the engine has gone through since the code was cleared. I am not 100% sure on that last part. Can you run the code yourself? If not take it to Autozone they will run the code for you.

Ahh, I see. I grew up in a bar so I'm good. Put me down on the list as well. Becky probably won't come this time.

I had the codes read the day it showed up. It's a code for right bank O2 not getting warm. AZ guy said it's either a vacuum leak.exhaust leak, or bad O2 sensor. It's not affecting anything just causing lower MPGs so for now we're ignoring it.

After talkin to her pawpaw he said we'd be alright the station is very tiny and we'll just clear the code before going if we don't get it fixed by then.

Thanks for the reply. I'll butt out now so we don't get this thread of track. anything else on this just PM me.

I'd be game, but the Explorer will be coming back from Colorado that weekend after playing up there for a week.

I went to college in Stephenville and had a ton of fun bombing around the backroads around there.

Great, hope to see ya here!!!

Huhh, I went to Tarleton as well. I had to us the back roads to get to Proctor. They got slick as owl s*it after a good rain.

So the plan is to bring my Mountaineer to this run. In which case I would need the 4wd transmission in place. So I think I can get it done on July 9th or 10th if I can round up a helper.
