Had to put new hubs on the front of the 98 Mountaineer, got ones with new ABS sensors.

No effect on the light.

Just put a new rear ABS sensor in. The light stays off for longer but still comes on.

Disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, reconnecting it then going for a drive had no effect.

Now what?

Did you check and see if the fuse for the ABS has been pulled?

What code do you have? Throwing parts at a problem can be a huge waste of money and time...

I only have an OBD II reader that doesn't read ABS or SRS codes. The front hubs needed replaced and the rear sensor was only $17.

Has the ABS light been on the entire time you have owned the vehicle?

Find someone who can read ABS codes, Without that you're just taking a stab in the dark
