2002 Explorer XLS
I'm about to get a new head unit and get sirius radio. Wanted to check with you guys on any adapters needed to use a new head unit with the factory speakers. i have a 2002 explorer xls. no subwoofer. but on crutchfield it said that my vehicle may require an adapter to allow my current factory speakers to work with a new head unit. anyone know if this is true? also do i need a wiring harness as well or will it plug straight in? thanks

just a wiring harness and dash kit. do you have steering wheel controls?

nope i have no steering wheel controls. and there is already an aftermarket radio in there, i didnt put it in but it was there when i bought it.

Make sure wires are hooked up, and your new headunit has a wire for a remote antenna or remote amp (both if you have an auto antenna) and you should be good to go =)
