changing shocks

my shocks are shot. I'm looking to replace them, but i'm thinking about getting a 1.5-2" sky jacker suspention lift. if i do that, i'd need longer shocks, right ? so should i spend like 100 to get 4 cheap ass shocks for now rather then good shocks ?

i definatly need shocks, i'm just trying to decide which shocks to get =/

Jeff, get the Rancho Rs5000..They are alittle longer than stock, and will work with the 2" lift or stock suspension..

The stock shock replacement for the rear shocks on a 1992 XLT using RS9000s are the same shocks you use for a Rancho 2.5" lift. The front shocks on the other hand are longer for the 2.5" lift than the stock sones..
