cheap seat cover

anybody try these? my front driver seat is a mess the rest of the seats are mint. I should prob just take it to a shop that does this kind of work and see if I can get the driver front done, but I suspect it will be more than the truck is worth. I figure these covers have to be some uber cheap made but just wonder if anyone has 1st hand exp with it.

After a little fiddling, they aren't horrible. At first I regretted buying them since I don't have tilt and tend to slide into the seat and they moved but once you adjust and tighten down the straps, it's not bad.

another option I am thinking of is to just keep an eye open at the yard for a 1st gen and see if I can find a decent passenger side. I assume I can use the cover on either (and the passenger tends to be in better shape).

I saved the ones you mentioned, may go that route, My seats are really in pretty good shape, so one other thing would be to let the auto shop look it over and tell me what they can do.

Taking the seat covers from a first gen isn't a bad idea. Check to make sure there aren't any weird soecifics between passenger and driver (shouldn't be) and be careful not to tear it up taking it off. Never tried those seat covers. They don't look bad. But they are plastic.

got an est from a local shop. 300$, just cant see that as I would rather spend that on mechanical items, so will hit the yard next, its reall not that bad, only the back panel and seat panel, the sides are in good shape. Almost willing to try and remove and replace just those pieces, a new skill set to learn.

You could find yourself some nice seats from a 2nd gen, I think I read that they bolt right up. Find one that was wrecked with low miles and grab em.

Yeah 2nd gen cloth seats. I seen a lot of them in the yard in great shape. I been wanting to go get a seat myself. Mine probably like yours trashed! but I don't notice it much when I'm sitting in it hahaha
