Chris's 2005 Explorer Limited

Hello All,
I have been a lurker for a while here, and I decided to become elite. I have a 2005 Explorer Limited that I bought on 11/22/11. I had been looking for about 8 months for the right one and actually was looking at another explorer (04 NBX) on the lot when the salesman said he had just traded an 05 Limited. I absolutely fell in love with it. It was the first one that I test drove with the V8 and the power compared to the V6 was what really sold me.

Specs, Mods:
05 V8, 3.55 gears, 5R55S Transmission
Every option excluding rear park sensors, class III/IV hitch and rear HVAC.
Gibson cat-back exhaust
Pioneer Head Unit, JL subwoofer/Rockford amp in stock location

Near future mods: SCT tuner w/ Henson Tune and a CAI.
Future mods: Rancho Quicklift and larger tires

are you sure you have the 5r55s? i thought all V8's had the 5r55w? you can always verify using the door codes.

Door sticker states that the trans code is V (5R55S). I think the late 2004-2005 V8 models switched to the 5R55S.

Update

I decided that chrome was no longer the look for my X. I got a great deal on a set of 17" wheels from a 06-10 Explorer that were painted flat black, and bought a black eBay billet grill. I also plasti-dipped my emblems (easy but takes a bit of time). My next step is to open up the headlights and paint them black to match.

Thanks for the idea. Now I really want to tint the tails, especially after making a mockup in photoshop.
