Clamp on tank side end of fuel filler hose???

I have a 95 XLT and I noticed that there is no clamp on the end of the fuel tank filler hose that connects to the fuel tank. You can just pull it off by hand. Is there supposed to be a clamp to stop the hose from pulling off the tank that easily?

I would assume so, as I have a clamp on my 1st gen... It should be easy to Inspect the hose for any clamp indentations.
