Clunk from rearend

Can someone give me an idea what the hell is wrong with my Explorer?? I have the v8 AWD and lately it has been randonly clunking and jerking at all different speeds. Has maybe done it half dozen times in last 3 months. It also will jerk (and not clunk) at different speeds, but only seems to do it when the roads are bad. It will do this more often. I took it to the Ford dealer and they have no idea. I think it is something to do with the AWD, but they couldn't get it to clunk, so have no ideas and basically clueless. Does anyone have any ideas to give these people??

my explorer did that once, it did it after my brother messed with the 4WD it went "clunk" and jerked the car, its never dont it sense though

Clunk and jerk

Not sure if it is related or not, but I have had the axel seals replaced twice, the rear shocks replaced, and u-joints replaced on this vehicle while it was still in warrenty. Something tells me the dealership didn't get something back together right....

The vehicle has been randomly clunking and jerking at all different speeds, and just jerking once in a while w/out a clunk more often. It is driving me nuts. And is seems to only do it in spurts. One day it is fine. The next is is almost constant. AARRGGGGHHHH

Maybe it's the differential. Do you have LS? Maybe you lost a gear tooth or something...
