my 88 ranger wont shift gears. ive just had the trans rebuilt thinking it was the problem. a new clutch and throwout bearing didnt fix the problem. the trans will not engauge the engine and so it wont shift. ive put a new master cylinder on it but still no good. the master cylinder is all screwey so ive got a new one comin in because it is malfunchioning from the factory. what else could it possily be? the only thing else i can see being the problem is the slave cylinder. Ideas and input is appreciated. THX :D

You might be going through what I'm going through....I'm on the second new master cylinder and a new slave cylinder. I wasted hours with my mechanic on it to try to get the system bled properly and it's still acting up. There is a Ford Service Bulletin issued in 1993 on this issue. Good luck.

do you know where i can read the TSB at? is it just on the ford website or somewhere else?
